2013 Middlesex Summer Baseball Registration now open
by posted 05/16/2013

2013 Registration for Middlesex Summer Baseball is now open.

A.Y.B.S.A. is part of the Middlesex Summer Baseball program.  This program offers "travel" baseball on a more relaxed schedule. Middlesex games take place two weeknights per week, no weekends (except practice). Leagues are broken into 8/9/10 and 11/12 age groups. Games start after the July 5th and end around August 14, with no postseason play.

Players who wish to play Middlesex Baseball must register, but need not try out.  When registering, you may request being placed on teams with other players and/or coaches.  Teams will in part be built using these requests, but the roster size will also be a factor, meaning if a team roster is full request cannot be honored. Please keep in mind we cannot always honor every request!  So it is best to register early.

The towns that are usually included are Belmont, Bedford, Lexington, and Winchester.

Game times are usually 5:30p or 5:45p.

The 11/12 teams usually play Monday & Wednesday; the 9/10 teams play Tuesday & Thursday.  Friday has been used to help balance the schedules, but only infrequently.

Registration closes June 28, teams will be finalized ASAP.

The cost is $100.00.

Roster size will run about 14 players to allow for vacations.

Will be needing coaches and managers, please contact Ken Bergeron,

2013 SUMMER SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
by posted 05/14/2013

Registration is now open for girls' summer softball.  As in the past we would like to register at least three teams in the Middle Essex Summer Softball League, U10, U12 and U14.  This is a travel league that begins the last week of June and runs seven weeks to the second week of August.  Games are twice a week, one home one away.  Registration is limited and a tryout will be held - DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED.  You can visit the Middle Essex website for info on the program http://www.eteamz.com/Middleessex/.  We plan to register one team in each division.  Because we have to register teams on Sunday May 19th, if you are interested in playing please register this week so we will know if we need more than one team per division and can order uniforms.  NOTE: REGISTRATION FEE WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL AFTER THE TRYOUT AND YOU ARE ASSISGNED TO A ROSTER.  Again, if you know you are interested in playing please register this week.  Registration will remain open until the try-outs (date to be announced).

If you are interested in managing/coaching a team please send an email to .
